Applied AI Engineer, Origination Agents
Build and own the agents that do real origination work against real documents, lenders, and deadlines.
About the role
You build the agents that read bank statements, quote scenarios, clear conditions, and assemble lender packages. You own them end to end: the prompts, the tools, the evaluations, and how they behave on a bad day.
What you will do
- Design and ship agents for specific origination workflows, with the lending team as your partners
- Write the evaluations that prove an agent works before customers rely on it
- Watch agents in production, find where they fail, and fix the cause
- Build the shared tools every agent uses: document reading, lender rules, and audit trails
- Turn corrections from our loan experts into lasting improvements
What you bring
- Strong software engineering in TypeScript or Python
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs: tool use, structured output, retrieval, evaluation
- Comfort with messy real-world inputs like scanned PDFs and inconsistent data
- Ownership: you care how the agent performs after it ships
- Lending experience is a plus, not a requirement
